Gwydion
Gwydion is a 40-something year old queer man living in San Francisco's "Reclaiming Gulch". He is a devoted science geek, both in his work and his magic. He spends most of his free time playing fetch with the puppy, making jam, baking bread, working in the garden growing food, and working with his partner on restoring their Victorian home, Grove House. Gwydion comes from a long line of California farmers and crafts people. He is also a photographer who enjoys blurring the edges of the divide between film and digital. Gwydion is a witch and priest of the Reclaiming and Feri tradition. He has been practicing the Craft for 27 years and has taught locally and internationally for 20 years.

Gwion
Grab a big cauldron. Begin stirring in a dash of priestess, a pinch of witch and a spoonful of sacred seeker. Add to this potion a love of music, improvisational theatre and a willingness to walk the edges. Mix it all together and what do you get? Gwion hasn’t got the foggiest clue either which is why he keeps spiraling back in, exploring new ways to practice magick each day. Gwion has been part of Reclaiming for eight years, and loves being in service with this community of witches and world changers. He’s often found conversing with ravens, drumming with the unseen ones at the beach and teaching and co-creating community in Sonoma County. Twice born of Ceridwen, Gwion follows the mysteries of the cauldron; drinking in the elixir of transformation He is excited and honored to be teaching amongst the Redwoods this year.

He works with young children with autism and has been married to his lovely wife, Kathi for 25 years. Some of his passions are gardening in all seasons, creating labyrinths, ice skating, wandering in the pre-dawn dark, and his moms. He has been involved with witchcamps for 25 years as a camper, organizer, and teacher. He regards Witchlets and Winter Witchcamp as his home camps. He teaches various magical classes such as tarot and ritual arts in his home community as well as co-priestess’ 8 seasonal celebrations a year. He is drawn to and works frequently with Tricksters as well as Time, Tarot, Paradox, Yeshua, and Elvis. His teaching style is experiential, embodied and emphasizes practical magical skills. To him, spirit and magic come alive in us in the physical world and take many forms from stillness to ecstatic movement. Magic is not a metaphor and has the power to transform our lives. From this place of transformation, we enchant our worlds.

Phoenix can often be found dancing through the multiverses all the while immersed in conversation with Deity, animal spirits, and the Fae. Tarot reader, belly dancer, mother, wife, sister, and friend, Phoenix lives to live outside of her labels. Phoenix has been blessed to teach in both the Bay Area and Los Angeles and is ecstatic to be back at California Witchcamp.
